Place cooked ground beef, chopped onions, minced garlic, taco seasoning, salsa, and water in a large resealable freezer bag.
Remove excess air, seal, and freeze.
Stovetop cooking instructions:
Thaw.
Heat in a pot or skillet over medium heat until cooked through.
Serve on bun halves with taco toppings.
Slow cooker cooking instructions:
Thaw.
Cook in Crock Pot on low for 2-3 hours.
Serve on bun halves with taco toppings.
Notes
Pro tip: Toast the buns before adding the meat mixture.To make this plant-based, use a veggie ground round beef substitute in place of the beef. My favourite one to use with this recipe is the Mexican ground round.
